Mindstamp exists because video is the only medium that tells you nothing about the person watching it. We set out to change that.

Why we built it

Every other medium a business uses reports back. An email tells you who opened it. A landing page tells you who converted. Video, for most of its life online, has told you a play count and nothing else — no idea whether the viewer understood it, agreed with it, or acted on it.

Mindstamp started from that gap. If a video can ask a question, it can know the answer. If it can offer a choice, it can record which one was taken. And once that is true, a recording stops being a broadcast and becomes something closer to a conversation you can measure.

What we build

An interactive layer that sits on video you already have. Questions, buttons, hotspots, branching, lead capture, personalization, and paywalls go onto the timeline of the existing file — nothing is re-shot and nothing is re-encoded. Every interaction produces a record against the person who made it.

That layer works with the tools teams already run: Vimeo, Wistia, YouTube, Kaltura, JW Player and Panopto for hosting; HubSpot and Salesforce for the record; SCORM and xAPI for the LMS; Zapier and webhooks for everything else.

Who uses it

Training teams who have to evidence completion. Marketers who need the form to appear before interest fades. Sales teams whose recordings should book the meeting themselves. Course teams who want participation per student rather than an average after the unit. The common thread is being measured on an outcome rather than on views.

How we work

Small team, direct support, and a bias toward shipping the thing customers asked for rather than the thing that demos well. The product newsletter is a fairly complete record of what that has looked like month by month.
